Description: Cerium carbonate is a white or slightly yellowish crystalline powder. Its color changes slightly with the purity. It belongs to the rhombic crystal system and is difficult to dissolve in water. When the water suspension is boiled, it will hydrolyze to form basic carbonate. It can react with most acids to form corresponding salts. It decomposes into CeO2 when heated at 900 ℃. The cerium extract is neutralized with ammonia water, added with ammonium bicarbonate to precipitate cerium carbonate. After filtration, washing, centrifugation and drying, the precipitate is cerium carbonate.
